Private Label Knitwear: Labels, Trims and Packaging to Confirm
Labels, trims and packaging are small details that strongly affect how a private label garment is presented. They should be confirmed during development rather than added at the last minute.
Neck labels and care labels
Confirm label size, placement, fiber information, care instructions and market requirements. The wording should match the final garment composition and the buyer’s compliance needs.
Hangtags and brand trims
Provide artwork, material preference, attachment method and quantity. If the artwork is still under development, clearly mark the version used for sampling.
Packaging requirements
Discuss folding, polybags, cartons, shipping marks and any retailer-specific instructions. Packaging choices should protect the garment and follow the buyer’s documented requirements.
Approve everything with the sample
Review labels, buttons, trims and packing together with the final sample. This creates one reference point for production and reduces avoidable inconsistencies.
